Editorial policy
Lasting Match Journal aims to make careful, readable coverage of objects, materials and long use. We explain what we can support, make uncertainty visible and correct errors plainly.
Accuracy and clarity
We check names, descriptions and factual claims against material appropriate to the subject, and take care not to present an inference as a confirmed fact. Where an object’s condition, material or intended use matters, we say when a general explanation cannot settle the question. Our articles are informational, not a substitute for qualified assessment where a task may be unsafe or requires specialist knowledge.
Editorial independence
Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers and the publication’s subject. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage, a favourable view or control over editorial conclusions. We do not imply that a product or service has been tested when it has not.
Corrections
Readers can flag possible errors through the Contact page. We review specific, relevant reports and correct material when warranted; significant changes are made clear in the article where appropriate. A correction does not mean every disagreement calls for a change of wording.
Partners and illustrations
Paid, gifted or otherwise material partner content is clearly identified as such, and kept distinct from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when that is the case, they are labelled so readers can distinguish illustration from documentary imagery.
Usefulness has a longer story
An object’s value is not only in its first use. Its materials, care and capacity for change can shape how long it remains part of a home.
